Aston Villa announce redevelopment of North Stand
The capacity in the stand will increase to over 12,000
Aston Villa has announced plans to refurbish and expand seat capacity in Villa Park's North Stand.
The redevelopment will increase the number of seats in the North Stand to over 12,000, bringing the total capacity at the stadium will increase to over 50,000.
The renovation is due to be completed in 2027.
Alongside the expansion plans, Mayor of the West Midlands Richard Parker has committed to rebuilding nearby Witton Station to increase its capacity on match days.
The club says the capacity for Villa Park will not decrease at any time during the construction process.

A bigger, better North Stand will not only allow many more Villans to see their team in person, improving matchday experience, but will also dramatically improve the Club's ability to invest and compete in the long term."
