Appeal to identify man after body found in woodland in Birmingham

The discovery was made in Highbury Park.

Police are appealing for help to identify a man who was found in woodland in Birmingham.

His body was discovered in Highbury Park on 21 September. Since then, officers and the Birmingham Coroner, have been working to confirm his identity and inform his next of kin.

The man was of slim build, 6 foot 1 inches tall and weighed around 10 stone. He had black hair and a black beard and is believed to have been in their 30s.

He was wearing black SoulCal trainers, size 9.5, a navy blue medium sized Bench T shirt and grey medium sized Drock jogging bottoms, pictured.

Possessions found on discovery of man's body in Highbury Park

The only possessions found in his pocket were a small amount of cash and a keyring. He had no tattoos and no scars.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and despite extensive enquiries, police have been unable to identify him or trace his next of kin.
