Two men arrested in connection with murder of man in Acocks Green
A 44-year-old remains in police custody while a 62-year-old was released
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Acocks Green in southeast Birmingham.
Officers from West Midlands Police were alerted to an incident taking place at a property on Warwick Road at around 2:55pm on Saturday (February 1st).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found that a man had been seriously injured, requiring immediate medical attention.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after, but despite their best efforts to resuscitate the man, the victim - a man in his 60s - was pronounced dead.
Two men were arrested following their lines of enquiry - both on suspicion of murder. It has already been established that both suspects were known to the victim.
Police confirmed that one of the suspects - a 44-year-old man - currently remains in police custody, whilst the second suspect - a 62-year-old man - was released on bail.
Enquiries are now underway, with officers in the local area going door-to-door to help establish if anyone in the area may have witnessed anything unusual at the time of the attack.
As well as this, officers confirmed CCTV footage and doorbell footage were being investigated as part of their investigations.
