Stars to hit red carpet in exclusive premiere of final series of Peaky Blinders
Thousands of people applied to get tickets to the event
The red carpet is being rolled out as stars are to come to Birmingham for the premiere of the final series of the hit show Peaky Blinders.
Stars of the show are set to hit the red carpet as an exclusive screening of the first episode will be shown at the Cineworld at Broad Street later tonight.
In preparation for the final series, a mural depicting Tommy Shelby has appeared in the Digbeth area of the city ahead of the premiere.
Thousands of people had applied for 300 tickets to get a sneak peek of the final series, which was filmed in both Birmingham and Manchester.
Speaking to Greatest Hits Radio, Georgia Whitehouse was one of the lucky people to get a seat at the cinema. She spoke of her joy of getting a ticket for the event.
"I was elated when I got the email through, but I never actually realised that thousands of people had applied for tickets," she said.
"All my friends and family that I keep telling have been very jealous and envious of me."
The world-famous show is set to come to an end as Tommy Shelby, leader of the Birmingham gang played by Cillian Murphy, is on the edge after the end of series 5.

But the series has promoted Birmingham across the world and Ms Whitehouse said that she hopes the city will continue to benefit even after the show ends.
"I love the fact that Peaky Blinders has drawn attention to Birmingham and attracted the public also - it's brilliant," she said.
"Long may people continue to visit and see what Birmingham is all about and the vibe is like - we can all have a great time!"
The final series of Peaky Blinders is due to hit our television screens on BBC One on Sunday (February 27th).
