Woman in wheelchair spat at and phone stolen in Poole

It happened on the High Street on Saturday evening (11th May)

A woman in a wheelchair's had her mobile phone stolen in Poole.

The victim - who's in her 50's - was also spat at during the incident that happened at around 8.45pm on Saturday night (11th May), outside what used to be Iceland in Poole High Street.

Police say the offender was a man known to her.

He left the scene in the direction of Old Orchard after the incident.

PC Lauren Gibbins, of Poole police, said:

“This was a nasty incident involving a vulnerable victim and we are carrying out a number of enquiries into this matter.

“As part of our investigation, I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Poole High Street around the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened.”
