Woman in her 90s suffers serious injuries after being hit by car
Dorset Police said she was involved in a collision in Upton on Saturday
A woman in her 90s is being treated in hospital for "very serious injuries" after being knocked down by a car near Poole.
The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus on Blandford Road North near Douglas Close in Upton shortly after 9.10am on Saturday.
Sergeant Richard Stroud from Dorsey Police said: "We are carrying out a number of enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
"I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicle involved prior to it.
"I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.
"Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the incident."
