A woman in her 60s has been pushed to the ground during a robbery in Swanage, with police investigating.
The victim had her handbag, containing a phone, cash and make-up, stolen on Queens Road, just before 10.30am on Thursday (1st August).
The offender's described as a teenage girl, with long mousey hair, and wearing a black hooded top and jeans.
She's alleged to have left the scene with a group of young people.
The woman suffered minor injuries to her face and legs in the incident.
Her phone was later found dumped between Bell Street and Marsh Way and has been returned to the owner.
PC Peter Daly, of Wareham police, said:
“This was a very distressing experience for the victim and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the person responsible for this robbery.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour in the areas of Queens Road and Bell Street.
“I would also ask any residents or motorists driving in these areas at the time of the assault to please review their home CCTV and dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
