Wilko has confirmed that it will open the doors to its next store in Poole in August.

The household and garden retailer is coming back to the Dolphin Centre on Friday 16th August.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to mark the store’s opening.

The 23.5K square feet store, situated at the Dolphin Centre, will also feature an Iceland concession.

John Grinnell, centre manager at The Dolphin Poole said:

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Wilko back to The Dolphin. Our customers definitely felt the loss after the initial closure of their Poole store in October 2023, and many will be glad to see Wilko’s return.

"The reopening will bring back much-loved Wilko-brand homewares, and the introduction of Iceland products in-store will add an extra level of convenience for Poole shoppers.”

Wilko say they'll prioritise the re-hiring of former staff who apply for jobs.

The Poole site is one of the brand’s new concept stores and is the latest confirmed store opening in the continued roll-out of further launches, which have previously included Exeter, Luton, Plymouth, St Albans and Rotherham.
