Teenager suffers life-threatening injuries in Lytchett Matravers crash

A 14-year-old boy's believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash near Lytchett Matravers.

He came off his bike in a collision with a car on Huntick Road near The Courtyard Craft Centre at around 7.45am this morning (Wednesday 19th June).

A white Volkswagen Up! was also involved in the collision.

Sergeant Tracey Downer, of the Roads Policing Team, said:

“Our thoughts are very much with the child who was seriously injured as a result of this collision and his family at this difficult time for them all.

“We are continuing to carry out enquiries as we seek to establish the full circumstances of the collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also urge any motorists with dashcam fitted who were travelling in the vicinity on the morning of Wednesday 19 June 2024 to please review their footage for anything of relevance.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures. These are absolutely necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for a full examination of the collision scene to be carried out.”
