Teenage girl injured in unprovoked assault in Poole

The victim was attacked near the David Lloyd gym in Cabot Lane

A teenage girl's suffered facial and knee injuries, after what police have called an unprovoked assault in Poole.

The victim was walking with a friend on a path near the David Lloyd gym in Cabot Lane, at around 8.30pm on Thursday 6th June.

A group of two boys and two girls are alleged to have shouted abuse at them, which they ignored and carried on walking.

They were followed by the female members of the group, with one of them attacking the victim.

The offender is described as:

  • Around five feet tall
  • Chubby build
  • Mid-length black hair
  • Wearing black leggings
  • Black jumper

Detective Constable Michael White, of Dorset Police, said:

“This was a nasty unprovoked assault on a teenage girl, which left her with significant injuries.

“We have now obtained further information about the circumstances of the incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.

“If you have information that may help us identify anyone involved, please contact Dorset Police.”
