Stones thrown at house on Portland treated as criminal damage

Police say the victim was 'understandably left distressed'

Police on Portland say they're treating an incident, where stones were thrown at a house, as criminal damage.

A glass pane to a front door on Park Estate Road, near the junction with Montrose Close, was broken.

The incident happened between 4.50 and 5.00pm on Wednesday last week (1st March), with officers now releasing details.

PC Billy Taylor, of the Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“The victim was understandably left distressed by the incident, and we are determined to identify who is responsible for the damage caused.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information relating to those involved, to please contact us.

“I would also urge residents in the area to check the footage on their home CCTV or doorbell cameras around the time of the offence to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
