Shaftesbury shop worker assaulted while tackling thieves

Dorset Police have given us CCTV images

A supermarket worker in Shaftesbury has been assaulted following a theft there.

Three men are alleged to have gone to the kiosk at Tesco on Christy's Lane at around 5.20pm on Wednesday 19th October.

They attempted to purchase items, including a large quantity of tobacco and cigarettes.

They put the tobacco products into their pockets and left without paying.

Two members of staff followed them, with one being assaulted.

Dorset Police have now given us CCTV images of two men they'd like to speak to.

Police Community Support Investigator Kayleigh Hole, of North Dorset police, said:

“I am continuing to investigate this incident and have obtained CCTV images of two male suspects.

“I would ask anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.”
