Renewed appeal for missing man from Poole

Dorset Police have issued a renewed appeal for information - as searches continue for a missing man from Poole.

79-year-old Michael was reported missing at 9.40pm on Tuesday 3 June 2025, having last been seen in the area of Springdale Road at around 3.30pm that afternoon.

Officers say further possible sightings were reported near to the Holme Bush Inn in Old Wareham Road in the Corfe Mullen area at around 4pm, as well as on Beacon Hill Lane heading in the direction of Upton Heath at around 4.40pm on Tuesday 3 June 2025.

Michael is described as six feet three inches tall with short grey hair slightly balding on top and was wearing green trousers, a check shirt with a blue jumper over the top with a yellow collar.

Chief Inspector Andy Bell, of Dorset Police, said: “We remain concerned for Michael’s welfare, and we are carrying out detailed searches to try and locate him.

“We understand Michael can become easily confused but is also an avid walker and capable of travelling a significant distance on foot.

“We would urge anyone who may have seen a man matching the description given walking in the Poole, Corfe Mullen or Upton area since around 3.30pm on the afternoon of Tuesday 3 June 2025 to please make contact with us.”
