Fire crews called to Portesham Primary School
The school was evacuated yesterday afternoon
Portesham Primary School had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon.
Four fire crews were sent to the school.
They put out a small fire in a light fitting outside one of the classrooms.
No one was injured.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Fire Station said:
"Bridport Fire Station, Dorchester Fire Station and two pumps from Weymouth Fire Station were all mobilised.
"Dorchester were first on scene and extinguished the fire using one fire extinguisher, a triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera.
"The scene was made safe by isolating the electrics."
