Poole man jailed for multiple rape charges
25 year old Kieron Gibson targeted the same victim over five years
A man from Poole have been jailed for seven and a half years for multiple rape charges, against the same victim.
25 year old Kieron Gibson, from Sea View Road, admitted seven counts of rape and one of attempted rape.
He's been sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court to an indefinite period on the sex offenders' register, as well as the prison term.
In March 2021, Gibson’s victim attended Poole police station to report a series of non-recent rapes over a five-year period.
She was also able to supply messages from Gibson that appeared to relate to the sexual assaults.
Detective Constable Chloe Riley, of Bournemouth CID, said:
“I want to thank the victim in this case for the immense courage she has shown in coming forward to report these offences and for the support she has provided throughout our investigation.
“Through her brave actions, we were able to compile evidence and hold Kieron Gibson to account for these despicable offences.
“Both myself and the victim in this case hope this helps to inspire other victims of rape and sexual offences to find the strength to come forward and report matters to police in the knowledge that they will be fully supported by specially trained officers and that we will thoroughly investigate the offences.”
