Occupants disturb attempted burglary near Bridport

There's an appeal for information about suspicious activity nearby

The occupants of a house near Bridport have disturbed an attempted burglary, with police now investigating.

A property in Village Road in Bradpole was targeted at around 4.40am last Thursday (6th June), with residents woken up by someone trying to gain access.

PC Dan White, of Bridport police, said:

“Thankfully, the suspects were disturbed and nothing was stolen during the incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area, or may have captured any relevant footage, to please contact Dorset Police.

“In particular, I understand there were two members of the public who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have important information to help our enquiries.”
