Man struck by car in Bridport hit and run
The car involved didn't stop after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries
A man's suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car in Bridport, which didn't stop at the scene.
The collision happened just before 11.00am on Tuesday (20th February) in West Street, near the South Street junction.
A man in his 20s was knocked down by what's been described as a dark coloured Honda Jazz or a dark purple Vauxhall Corsa.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, and there's now a police appeal for witnesses.
PC Simon Wilcox, of Bridport police, said:
“I am carrying out an investigation and would ask witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please come forward.
“Also, I am appealing to the driver of the car involved to please get in touch so we can take your account of what happened.”
