Man attacked with fork in Weymouth underpass

A man has been attacked with a fork during an assault in Weymouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.54am on Wednesday 29 May, that a man aged in his 30s had been assaulted in the underpass by Westham Bridge.

It was reported that the victim had been jabbed with a fork by another man and had sustained cuts to his ear, shoulder and arm. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am keen to speak to any witnesses, or anyone who was in the area of Westham Bridge during the early hours of Wednesday 29 May 2024 and saw anything suspicious.

“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please come forward.”
