Fifteen firearms have been seized by Dorset Police, following reports of illegal hunting.

We're told this happened in the west of the county, near the Somerset border last Friday (12th May), with a man's firearms certificate also being revoked.

Rural Crime officers worked with their Firearms Licensing colleagues on the investigation.

Dorset Police have said no arrests have been made at this stage, and that the firearms were surrendered voluntarily.

They've also said:

"The owner of the firearms is assisting officers with their enquiries and our investigation remains ongoing."
