Dorset Police recover second set of stolen goats this month

Dorset Police officers have recovered a pair of stolen pet goats for the second time this month - and made three arrests.

The Rural Crime Team visited a property in Yarmouth Road in Poole on Tuesday (23rd January), in connection with the theft of two goats from Marshwood.

Margoat and Robbie were taken on January 11th and later recovered by police in Yeovil.

They were returned to their grateful owner, with officers saying they were 'over the moon' to have traced them.

During the Poole visit this week, a caravan that had been stolen from Bridport on Monday night (22nd January) was found and recovered.

That's now been returned to its owners.

Two male suspects om site that are believed to be involved in Margoat and Robbie's disappearance have been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Two goats, named Pickle and Pepper, were also reported stolen from West Dorset on Monday (22nd January).

The Rural Crime Team later stopped a vehicle on the A31, with the driver arrested on suspicion of driving offences and the theft of the goats.

Pickle and Pepper were also recovered.
