Dorchester Costa to undergo ten day refurbishment
The Cornhill branch will be shut while work's carried out
Work's due to begin today (Monday 20th November) to refurbish a popular coffee shop in Dorchester town centre.
Costa at Cornhill is do undergo both internal and external changes over ten days, with the branch shut for the duration.
Alterations on the Grade Two listed building will include a new servery counter with extensive repairs, refurbishment and redecoration throughout the building, new floor surfaces and some furniture upgrades.
For the first time, the outside is also likely to be painted red, the company colours, after being battleship grey since the business opened.
Costa does have another branch in Dorchester on the edge of Brewery Square.
An induction loop will also be installed near the till to assist deaf and hearing impaired customers, with additional lighting to help with lip reading.
The company will also be adding a baby change area within the existing disabled toilet.
Improvements are planned to behind the scenes staff areas on both the ground and first floor, including a new seating area, with new slip-free surfaces for the stairs and new matting just inside the front door.
