A dog's been reunited with its owner after falling 20 meters down a cliff in Rousdon landslip

Beer and Lyme Regis Coastguard teams along with Lyme lifeboat were tasked to a dog who had fallen 20m over a cliff in Rousdon landslip.

The dog had been on a lead, but broke away from it's owner.

It was Christmas Day, at around 13:30 that the rescue began.

Lyme lifeboat located the dog on the cliff, they then gave instructions were the rope rescue teams could set up their equipment to enable a rope technician to be lowered over the cliff, and rescue the dog.

The equipment had to be carried 600m from the vehicle to the rescue scene.

But it was a successful rescue, and the dog was reunited with it's owner.
