Image released following Christchurch attempted robbery

A man tried to take a child's bike in the Burton area

Police in Christchurch have shared an image of a man they'd like to trace, as they continue to investigate at attempted robbery.

A 12 year old boy was approached in Whitehayes Road in Burton at around 7.30pm on May 30th, by an unknown man.

He grabbed the child's clothing and tried to steal his bike.

The man left the scene when the boy alerted his dad, who was nearby.

PC Paul Humber, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would again urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“I am also now in a position to issue an image of a man we are looking to identify as part of our investigation and would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
