CCTV images released after plant machinery theft in Wareham

Power tools were also taken in the incident

Police in Wareham have released CCTV images of four men they'd like to identify, in connection with the reported theft of plant machinery and power tools.

Entry was forced into three containers at the Blue Pool on Furzebrook Road near Stoborough, at some point between 9.00pm on Thursday 22nd September and 1.00am on Friday 23rd.

A Kubota RTV-X1140 utility vehicle, and a Kubota tractor were stolen, along with chainsaws and power cutters.

The stolen items were later found concealed on heathland a short distance away.

A 28 year old man from Wareham has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft, and released under investigation.

PC Kate Schofield, of the Rural Crime Team, said:

“Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and we have now obtained CCTV images of four men we would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises them, or may have information to help our investigation, to please get in touch.”
