5 men arrested after 'disturbance' in Bournemouth

Five men have been arrested after what police are calling a 'disturbance' at an address in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 8.52pm last night (16 May) of a disturbance involving a group of men in Richmond Park Avenue.

It was reported that a man had been assaulted and damage caused to a vehicle.

One person was treated by the ambulance for injuries that were not believed to be serious.

Following enquiries, five people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A 46-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage, a 21-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and three further Bournemouth men – all aged in their 20s – were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

Detective Inspector Ian Allen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge witnesses to please come forward if you have not already spoken to police.

“I would also ask any motorists with dashcam who were in the area, or residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras, to please check their footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
