Three men charged following death of prisoner at HMP Fosse Way

Three men have been charged with murder following the death of a prisoner in Leicestershire.

Police were contacted on Tuesday, after a 31-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell at HMP Fosse Way.

38-year-old Shaan Karim, Thierry Robinson who's 21 and 18-year-old Ashirie Smith have all been charged with murder, and are due in court today.

We're told the man, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Ambulance Service on the 20th August.

Three other men, who are 27, 28 and 35, who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder have been released under investigation.
