Three members of Sara Sharif's family are due before magistrates in Guildford later today (Friday 15th September) charged with her murder.

The 10 year old's body was discovered at her home in Woking last month, sparking an international manhunt.

Surrey Police tell us that the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges against three people: Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif (41), his partner Beinash Batool (29) and Urfan's brother Faisal Malik (28). All three live at Hammond Road in Woking.

The trio has also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

They were detained at Gatwick Airport after flying back to the UK from Pakistan.

A statement from the Surrey force says Sara's mum has been informed of the latest development and is receiving support from specialist officers.
