Urgent search for woman reportedly assaulted inside moving car in Stockport
Police are worried for the women's safety

An investigation is underway after reports of a woman being assaulted inside a moving car in Stockport.
Greater Manchester Police say she tried to get out of the dark coloured hatchback, but that she was dragged back into the car and assaulted.
The last sighting of the vehicle was at the crossroads of Rostherne Road and Garners Lane at around 6:30am yesterday (28 December), heading towards Davenport Train Station.
The woman is described as being white, wearing dark coloured leggings, and ugg boots.
The driver is described as a white man wearing a black coat or jumper.
PC Natalie Jamieson of Stockport CID said:
"We have been conducting house to house, CCTV and dashcam footage enquiries since the report, trying to establish the full circumstances of what may have happened.
“So far, these enquiries have proven negative for locating the woman or driver, and we are now in a position of needing to appeal for the wider public’s help.
"We need to locate her as soon as possible"
“At the centre of this is potentially a woman who is in need or urgent safeguarding or medical care, and we need to locate her as soon as possible."
