After the amazing response in week one, here at Greatest Hits Radio we are once again taking a minute to applaud the amazing work of our amazing NHS staff and other key workers, as part of the #ClapForOurCarers campaign.

Our NHS staff and key workers are heroes more than ever right now, whether it is doctors, nurses, paramedics, carers or anybody else who works in the NHS, these amazing people are working long and tireless hours to keep everybody safe, so the least we can do is show our appreciation.

The #ClapForOurCarers campaign will take place at 8pm every Thursday, with households across the UK urged to give a big applause from their front doors, gardens, windows or living rooms.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis got involved:

The original poster for the inspiring campaign read, 'During these unprecedented times they need to know that we are grateful.

'Please join us for a big applause (from front doors, garden, balcony, windows, living rooms, etc) to show all nurses; doctors; gps and carers our appreciation for their ongoing hard work and fight against the virus.

'Please share this message, so we can make sure the word spreads and reaches all to join!'

People are also being urged to film the minute of applause, and later share across social media channels to lift the spirits of our brilliant NHS workers across the country.
