Man fighting for life after stabbing in north Manchester

A man is fighting for his life after a stabbing in north Manchester.

Emergency services rushed to Ainsbrook Avenue, Moston in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

When officers and paramedics arrived, they found a man in his 20s with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital, where his condition has been described as life-threatening.

Police have so far made no arrests.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson: "At around 4.50am this morning (Tuesday 2 July 2024), we were called to reports of a stabbing on Ainsbrook Avenue in Charlestown, Manchester.

"A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in life-threatening condition.

"No arrests have been made at this stage and investigations are ongoing."
