A man has been charged with murder and fraud by false representation after a 66-year-old man was found dead in west London.

Michael O'Donnell was found dead at his home on Wednesday April 23 when police were called to Samara Drive, Southall, after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Christopher Donnelly, 54, of Samara Drive, has now been charged with murder and fraud by false representation, the Metropolitan Police said.

Donnelly is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A 28-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further inquiries.

The Metropolitan Police say Mr O'Donnell's family continue to be supported by officers and have been informed of the charge.
