Many of the crowd had been gathered for days outside Buckingham Palace hoping to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family.

There were last minute changes made to the ceremony after criticism of 'swearing allegiance to the King' - which were reportedly approved by His Majesty overnight.
Buckingham Palace had confirmed prior to the Coronation that The Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York would not have any formal role at the coronation, although they attended the service.
