Kent Police appeal for witnesses after teenage girl seriously assaulted
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested by officers as investigations continue

Kent Police have appealed for witnesses and information after a teenage girl was stabbed in Sittingbourne.
Officers first received reports of an incident on Adelaide Drive in Sittingbourne just before 4pm on Friday (March 22nd).
When responders arrived on scene, they found a teenage girl requiring serious medical attention after sustaining an injury consistent with a stab wound.
The girl was taken by an ambulance from the South East Coast Ambulance Service to a hospital in London, where she currently remains in a stable condition.
Police arrested a 12-year-old boy on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and remains in police custody.
Officers are now appealing to the public for any information that could help detectives piece together how the assault came about.
Specifically, Kent Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident itself take place, with those who might have any information being urged to get in touch as soon as possible.
As well as this, anyone with dascham footage or CCTV of the area at the time of the assault is also being asked to speak to officers where possible.
