Fire completely destroys historic Raven Hotel, two arrested

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue have confirmed the historic Raven Hotel in Droitwich has been destroyed in a fire.
In total, eight fire engines and multiple specialist vehicles were deployed to tackle the blaze.
The fire was successfully extinguished.
There were no causalities, a specialist fire investigation officer is working with colleagues from West Mercia Police to establish the cause.
West Mercia police said:
"Two girls, 13 and 14, were arrested on suspicion of arson and have since been released on bail."
Group Commander Simon Cusack said:
“This was a challenging incident, and I want to commend the professionalism and dedication of our firefighters and partner agencies. The rapid response and teamwork ensured that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished without injury. We appreciate the public’s support and will continue to work with the local authority and business owner to secure the site.”
