Father charged over death of teenage son in M6 crash

A father has been charged with causing the death of his teenage son by dangerous driving in a crash on the M6 in Lancashire.
Ryan Morgan from Morecambe died after the van he was a passenger in hit a tree a week ago.
Emergency services were called just after 12:15pm on Sunday 20th April after a Peugeot van left the carriageway between junctions 34 and 33 Southbound near to University Hill and crashed into a tree.
No other vehicles were involved.
Daniel Burba is due to appear at Lancaster Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 28th April 2025).
The 31 year old from Arnside Crescent, Morecambe has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving whilst unlicensed and uninsured.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but was later discharged.
