Emergency services called to 'concern for safety' at Royal Albert Dock

Merseyside Police have this afternoon confirmed they were called out to Royal Albert Dock this morning.
They say they received a concern for safety at the dock, with a number of emergency services in attendance.
In a statement, officers said: "We can confirm that emergency services are responding to a concern for safety at the Royal Albert Dock today, Sunday 11 February.
"Just before 9.50am, we were called to a report that what appeared to be the body of a man had been seen in the River Mersey.
"Coastguard, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Police are currently at the scene and a search of the water is ongoing."
In a statement, HM Coastguard told us: "HM Coastguard is currently coordinating the search for a possible person in the water, spotted and reported to the Coastguard at 9.45 this morning. Since then, the following resources have been on scene and searching:
- Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team
- Crosby Coastguard Rescue Team
- New Brighton and Hoylake RNLI lifeboats
- Coastguard search and rescue helicopter
- Merseyside Police
- Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service
- Other vessels in the area
"The Coastguard has also been making broadcasts to all vessels in the vicinity, requesting them to keep a sharp look out for a person in the water."
