People dressed in band T-shirts are expected to line the streets of Plymouth's Leigham area later, to pay their final respects to Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

Bobbi-Anne's family have made a request ahead of this lunchtime's funeral at the city's St. Andrews Church.

They are asking people to be respectful but also wear the type of band T-shirts that she loved wearing.

The 18 year old's death shocked the city, after she was attacked while waiting alone at a bus stop in November.

Last week, serial killer-obsessed Cody Ackland, 24, was jailed for life to serve a minimum of 31 years behind bars.

A judge described the murder of Bobbi-Anne as "chilling" and told Ackland he may die in jail.

A post online shared the request from Bobbi-Anne's family. It states: "Hi everyone, just to let everyone know Bobbi-Anne McLeod's funeral has now been arranged.

"It will be St. Andrews church in Plymouth at 12.30 on Thursday 26th May.

"If you cannot attend for work or other reasons, Bobbi will be leaving her home address at 11.20 and heading to the windmill and will then be take by horse and carriage to the church.

"If you would like too line the street in Leigham you are more than welcome. Dress code is band T-shirts such as Pink Floyd , Nirvana, ACDC , Green Day , Guns N' Roses, Queen, Eminem and Oasis.

"If you cannot get one just an ordinary blue T-shirt will be fine but please try for the band T-shirts as she loved wearing these, with black trousers or black jeans - no rips please .

"If any flowers please send too Shelley Harvey of Plymouth & District Funeral Services, Plymstock.

"This is open to the public but please be respectful and no drinking in or around church.

"We all stand together with Bobbi’s family at this really sad time".
