Death of Scots teen being treated as murder
16-year-old Amber Gibson was reported missing from the Hamilton area on November 26th.
The death of a Lanarkshire teenage girl is being treated as murder.
Amber Gibson was reported missing from the Hamilton area on November 26th.
The 16-year-old is known to have left her home in the Hillhouse area at 9.15pm that night and was last seen at Cadzow Street around 9.55pm.

Her body was discovered near to Cadzow Glen at 10.10am on Sunday November 28.
Police appeal
Detective Superintendent Raymond Brown, from Police Scotland major investigations team west, said: "Our thoughts very much remain with Amber's loved ones and we will continue to support them through this terrible time.
"Whilst our inquiries continue, we are asking for anyone with any information on what happened to Amber, or anyone who believes they saw her at any point of her movements between Friday and Sunday, to please come forward."
Chief Inspector Briony Daye, local area commander, said: “There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days and anyone with concerns can speak with local officers at any time."
Politicians send condolences
Local politicians posted condolences on social media and shared the police appeal for information.
Angela Crawley, SNP MP for Lanark & Hamilton East, wrote: "My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Amber Gibson, you are in all our thoughts at this truly heart-breaking time."
Labour MSP for Central Scotland, Monica Lennon shared a link to the Police Scotland appeal and told Greatest Hits Radio News: "Amber's loved ones are in agony right now. There are no words to comfort them, their loss is unimaginable.
"The whole community is in shock and is deeply sad.
"Amber Gibson was 16-years-old, she had her whole life ahead of her and she should have been safe.
"The police are working hard to find out happened to her. We need the community to really pull together and I would urge anybody who has any information to please share that with police or crimestoppers."with a message saying: "Awful news. The death of Amber Gibson is being treated as a murder. Please assist Police Scotland if you know anything that could help the investigation."
