Two people arrested following teenager being taken to hospital with injuries

An 18-year-old is in hospital, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening after an incident in Hartlepool.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital, after being injured with a bladed weapon.

Police say they were called to Queensland Road around 4pm on Friday (28/04).

The Air Ambulance attended the scene, but the man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing, but they have arrested a man and a woman, who are both 40, on suspicion of causing GBH with intent.

They remain in police custody.

Anyone with information or anyone who has private CCTV footage in the area around the time of the incident is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 080568.
