Two Men Charged In Connection with Thornaby Van Theft

A man aged 24 had been charged with the theft of a motor vehicle and a man aged 37 has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, driving with no insurance or a license and obstructing/ resisting a constable in execution of duty.

Both males were charged by the Road Policing Unit and they will appear at Teesside Crown Court today (1st August).

The charges were made in connection with a Mercedes Sprinter Van which was reportedly stolen from a property in Thornaby.

A Road Policing Officer in an unmarked police vehicle located the reported stolen van being driven in the early hours of yesterday morning (31st July) and it was seized.
