Two arrests after 4 vehicle crash in Redcar

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving four vehicles on Kirkleatham Lane in Redcar at around 1pm on Friday 2nd December.

The collision involved a bronze BMW 320, a red BMW 330D, a white Citroen C3 and a black Nissan Qashqai.

Officers would ask any witnesses that may have seen a red BMW and a bronze BMW travelling along the Trunk Road, Middlesbrough, from Cargo Fleet Lane, passing Cleveland Retail Park and onto the Trunk Road heading towards Kirkleatham Lane to contact Cleveland Police.

The 25-year-old male driver of the red BMW and the 43-year-old driver of the bronze BMW were both arrested in connection with the incident.

The male driver and two passengers, including a 7-year-old boy, from the Citroen C3 and the female driver of the Nissan Qashqai were taken to James Cook University Hospital with minor injuries. Any witnesses are asked to contact PC David Marlow from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 219081.
