Tributes paid to Roker Beach victim Liam Hall

Three others in stable conditions.

Tributes are being paid to a teenager who died after being pulled from the sea in Sunderland.

Liam Hall, from Southwick, got into difficulty after heading out in a dinghy with three other teenagers at Roker Beach yesterday.

A huge search operation was launched and Liam was found almost three hours later.

He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle but could not be saved.

Today, social media has been filled with tributes to Liam:

Jazmin Sloanes: "I just can't believe he's gone. I can remember in school when we just to mess about. We were so close. I'm going to miss him loads."

Courtney Susan Stoddart Davies:*** *"Rest in paradise Liam. I still can't believe your actually gone. It feels like it wasn't that long ago we were having a laugh in school."

Emma-Louise Billingsley:*** *"RIP Liam. A kind and loving person. I'm thinking of you and your family. I can't believe you're gone. You had a life ahead off you."

Alex Jenkins:*** *"Can't believe I was only talking to you the other day. Gonna be a big miss. Gained your wings to soon. Party hard with the angels."

The three other teenagers - a boy and two girls - are in a stable condition.
