There's claims thousands of people in Middlesbrough could feel a financial boost if Boro get promoted tomorrow.

It's the biggest game the region has seen for years and the impact of a win would be felt off the pitch too.

The North East Chamber of Commerce say the region will experience a big financial boost if the team are promoted to the Premier League.

Their Chief Executive James Ramsbotham says a club in the Premier League will need more staff and will bring more travelling fans to the area.

He said:

"A club in the Premiership for various reasons will actually employ more people.

"So there'll be more individuals employed at the club and they will be local people who will spend more money locally.

"It's the buzz it will bring to the region and clubs in the Premiership get this global coverage that helps them so much.

"For a region such as this where exporting is such a major part of what we do, for businesses from Teesside when they go to other parts of the world and they talk about coming from Middlesbrough, that opens doors and helps us win business all over the globe."

Fans are being told to arrive early for the Riverside clash against Brighton, who're currently sitting third in the table.

Kick-off is at 12:30, and Aitor Karanka's side will only need to draw or win to win automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The manager said:

"We have 12 players and that 12th player can be very important for us, because they deserve to get promotion because last time was not very good.

"It's a good step to look forward to."
