Teesside politicians have paid tribute to Labour MP Jo Cox, who died after being shot and stabbed in her West Yorkshire constituency.
The 41 year old mother-of-two was attacked outside her advice surgery in Birstall.
Witnesses said a man kicked and stabbed her and then shot her several times.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested.
MPs in our region have been paying tribute to the mum-of-two.
Oh no. What a loss of such a talent. Most importantly, the loss of a loving wife and mother. Thoughts and prayers with Jo's family. RIP Jo.

Middlesbrough and East Cleveland MP Tom Blenkinsop said:
"The news of the murder of Jo Cox is terrible news. Not just for the Labour Party and Jo's constituents but for her husband Brendan and her two children.
"She was a fantastic local MP for Bately and Spens, someone who was born and grew up there and knew it inside out.
"In the last year when she's been an MP, newly elected, she performed her role exemplary.
"She was an excellent advocate for her constituents but she was also a very able politician, with a fantastic future ahead of her.
"It's a real tragedy that her life has been cut so short in such a brutal manner.
"My thoughts and my Tees Labour colleagues' thoughts are with her and her family at this time during such tragic circumstances.
"I'm certain that she will be remembered by all our colleagues warmly and fondly for the fantastic human being she is."
