Teesside designer set for starring role in the Superbowl

A Teesside fashion designer is set to play a starring role in tonight's Superbowl.
Beth Wilson from Middlesbrough had an order for a jacket put in on her Etsy, which was placed by a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader.
Beth said: "It's really crazy. It was just a girl that reached out on Etsy and I was like 'oh, it's just a nice order no problem.' I read it and I was like 'hmm... that seems a bit exciting.' I showed a guy in the office and he was like 'oh my God, do you realise what this is?' and I was like 'oh, OK.'
"I process things very slow like it was all my friends that were like 'WOW. OH MY GOSH.' I was like 'yeah, it's cool. It's cool.' I've looked at her profile and I viewed their training and how passionate they are about this event that it's made me a lot more excited that this is a big deal. "I think my life would be made if that happened but the cheerleader Jordan has got Taylor Swift lyrics on the jacket as well."
"One of my most popular designs is a red love heart with gold details and stars. It's very bright and bold and because obviously the Superbowl's in Vegas, she wanted something on that theme but then she saw another one of my designs, which has got a lot going on, it's very heavy and it's got a little bit of everything, so she said 'I want something with a bit of this and a bit of that but make it the Superbowl.'
"She sent over a lot of inspiration images. We've got the Superbowl logo, the Vegas logo, the Kansas City logo and she said she's been seeing 44 a lot and the team believe that 44 is their lucky number this year, so we rolled the dice and put 44 on there. It's a bit of a mismatch but it's very bright, bold and Vegasy."
Taylor Swift is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce. We asked Beth if there was a possibilty Taylor would see the jacket and put in an order herself and she said: "I think my life would be made if that happened. The cheerleader Jordan has got Taylor Swift lyrics on the jacket as well."
