Teenager arrested following stabbing in Preston Park
Police have arrested a 14 year-old boy on suspicion of wounding with intent.
A 14 year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following a stabbing at Preston Park in Eaglescliffe yesterday (Saturday 17th July).
Cleveland Police say they were called, alongside the ambulance service, following reports of an assault at 6.24pm yesterday.
A 14 year-old boy had a stab wound to his arm and needed hospital treatment.
A 15 year-old boy suffered minor injuries.
Detective Inspector Louise Sproson from Stockton CID said: “This is a serious incident involving a child. The assault is thought to have happened close to the river within the park. The park was very busy yesterday so we’d appeal to anyone who thinks they have information, no matter how small, to contact us.”
