Police appeal for info about a man in connection with Stockton murder investigation
Police are searching for a man - who they say they'd like to speak to in connection with a murder investigation in Stockton
Officers are keen to speak to 23-year-old Sean McLeod, in connection with an ongoing murder investigation in Stockton.
Following a reported incident on Hills Drive in Stockton on Thursday 19th September, 26-year-old Lewis Bell died at the scene.
Police wish to speak to Sean as part of their ongoing enquiries and would appeal for him or anyone who knows of his whereabouts to get in touch.
Sean is described as a 5ft 5” tall, of proportionate build with brown eyes and black hair.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector David Glass, said: “We are keen to speak to Sean as he may be able to assist with our enquiries and would urge him, or anyone who Aknows him or where he is, to contact Cleveland Police.
“As we continue our investigation, we would like to reassure local communities that we believe that this was an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the wider community. A number of arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.
“High visibility patrols are continuing alongside partner agencies near to where the incident took place, and anyone who may have any concerns is encouraged to approach one of our officers or call 101.”
Two males aged 17 and 25 have been charged with murder and have appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court. Six other people arrested in connection with the investigation remain on police bail whilst enquiries continue.
