Two 18-year-old men have been found guilty of the murder of Shane Tunney.

Kearan Harry Davis and Kieron Terry Davis were found guilty on majority verdicts at Teesside Crown Court.

Brandon Pitt, Daniel Hunt and Jake Douglas, all aged 18, along with a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons, were all convicted of manslaughter.

Shane was using a cashpoint outside a Tesco store on Norton High Street last June when he was pelted with food by a teenage gang on the roof.

Minutes later he and his friend Anthony Kirk were attacked in the street.

At one point the 24-year-old was offered a lift in a passing taxi but refused saying he would not leave his friend.

Shane suffered a severe head injury with brain swelling and bleeding, fell into a coma and died in hospital five weeks later.

All seven teens were also convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm towards Mr Tunney's friend, Anthony Kirk.
