Firefighters continuing to tackle blaze in Hartlepool

Firefighters are continuing to deal with a blaze in Hartlepool.

Emergency services were called to the Seaton Meadows Landfill Site.

The incident is on-going and Cleveland Fire and Rescue Service said: "At this time, we advise members of the public to avoid the area and all residents and businesses near to keep doors and windows closed and minimise time spent outside.

"If you must go outside, to minimise your exposure, limit the amount of time you spend outside in the smoke.

"If you experience any symptoms, please seek medical advice by calling NHS 111."
