Prime Minister David Cameron has backed TFM’s Proud Stockton Campaign.
The aim is to put the positive into Stockton, following bad press from Benefits Street.
The Prime Minister told us: “I totally support that, look Benefits Street has been filmed in different parts of our country and I don’t think anyone should take it as bad for a particular town or city.
“I think what this programme generally demonstrates is that we need to keep going at helping people off benefits and into work.”
